Abstract

The study attempted to identify Examination malpractices in Mathematics Examinations as a critical factor for Proliferation of Higher Education Morals. A total sample of 500 University students participated in the study. However, only 122 opinions were retrieved. Data was collected with the use of a structured questionnaire designed on a Likert four-point scale. The questionnaire had thirty-six (36) items, which was divided into four sections A, B, C, and D. The questionnaire had a Cronbach’s Alpha reliability of 0.84, which was an indication that the research instrument is quite reliable. Data collected were analysed using the descriptive statistics of frequency counts and simple percentages for the demographic data while the inferential statistics of t-test and a two-way ANOVA were used to test the formulated hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The study showed that respondents across 200-500 levels did not perceive examination malpractices as a moral issue, which is a ground for proliferation of higher education morals.
